Sun Wukong (孙悟空), the Monkey King, is a stone-born immortal who rebelled against heaven, declared himself the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, and later became the protector of Tang Sanzang on the Journey to the West. He possesses 72 transformations, a magical staff called the Ruyi Jingu Bang that can grow to any size, and achieved Buddhahood as the Victorious Fighting Buddha.
He stormed the Jade Emperor's palace, ate the peaches of immortality, and declared himself equal to heaven.
He spent 500 years pinned under a mountain, fed only molten copper, waiting for a second chance.
